We Broke Known Psycho-drama Elements To Create A Style Of Authentic Enactment

Characters that stick in the minds of the audience

Creating appealing scenes and messages and communicators/characters that stick in the minds of the audience as visual pictures or narratives over time is a strong form of achieving our “Authentic Acting” norm. We break psycho-drama rules through spontaneous dramaturgy of the Rafiki Style, both in rehearsal, in production, in project delivery -social behaviour, awareness, mobilization, reflection, trauma.

Characters are hard or soft individuals, their rehearsals and enactments, and topics handled or situations presented are based on real life. In peace-building works, these characters have included survivors of armed conflict, victims of ethnic violence, and active or disarmed warriors. Using routine training and improve, our approach to psycho-drama has been pretested to enhance all the dramatic elements of communication, well presenting itself as a two way facilitation technique bonding with both the actor and the audience (community) and vice versa. Thus aiding engaged audiences to emotionally identify with the topic, and find common ground to address social fault-lines
